Choose any one-hour slot – 11am-12pm, 12pm-1pm, 1pm-2pm
Unleash your creativity at our magical hat-making session! Craft your very own wizard or witch hat, taking inspiration from the mysterious charm of Horace Walpole’s gothic castle. Perfect for ages 4-10, this self-led activity allows young sorcerers to design and decorate their hats with mystical symbols and patterns echoing the castle’s gothic architecture.
All materials will be provided.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Tickets: £5 per child
N.B. Ticket does not include entrance to the house. With shutters closed and “gloomth” prevailing, experience the House as Walpole himself would have in his day – rooms aglow with flickering candlelight, shadows dancing in the eerie gloom, and hidden surprises lurking in every corner. For families, there’s creepy fun to be had as you spot the spooky, hand-sized spiders tucked away throughout the house. Tickets for the house are £14.50 for adults, under 16's go free. Entrance to the garden and café is free.
