LGBTQ+ House Tour to Celebrate Pride
Wednesday 25 June. 6:30pm arrival for a complimenary glass of fizz, tour begins 7pm
To celebrate Pride Strawberry Hill is hosting an LGBTQ+ tour. The tour will seek to explore more about Horace Walpole's sexuality by investigating the correspondence between his network of friends and acquaintances, and how this might inform our interpretation of his house and collection.
As visitors are led through the House, our tour guide will reveal how Strawberry Hill enabled Walpole to build a unique identity for himself by his radical use of architecture, design, and antiquarianism.
